2017 Fall/Winter

2017 Fall/Winter

Fall is here and sold are warm colors! And what do we have? WARM COLORS TO WEAR IN THE SUN! This is the time of the year where all of the drab and colorless days come to an end, and full expression of feelings are shown in the way we dress.

Every season the team at the Pantone Color Institute evaluates the colors shown by fashion designers in their collections at New York Fashion Week. This information is then used to create The PANTONE Fashion Color Report where we highlight the top 10 colors for men’s and women’s fashion for the upcoming season. For the first time ever we have added London Fashion Week to our seasonal color reportage.

“There is a commonality between the colors we are seeing on the runway in New York and London.” says Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. “However, individuality is evident and we are seeing a distinct difference between the shows in the two cities in the way these same colors are being combined.”

Here are the colors:

How to Pair The Right Outfit with the Right Jewels

How to Pair The Right Outfit with the Right Jewels

We all love jewelry. It adds pizzazz to our look. We know that the look isn’t right without earrings. Our wrists have to show how well we can coordinate.

But what is coordination when it comes to pairing jewelry? Let’s find out!

pic1Earrings may be one of the most important accent pieces to any outfit. It’s very uncommon to see a woman with pierced ears without earrings on. They come in all types of shapes and lengths, so it’s important to know exactly how to pair them with your outfit.

Studded earrings, like pearls, diamonds and shapes, are good for up-do or slicked back hairstyles, giving your ears their moment of glory. Outfit wise I’d say turtlenecks or higher necked pieces.

Medium to long length earrings, like dangles, hoops, or feathers are really good for bare shouldered looks. Hairstyles are a little more lenient when it comes to these types of earrings.

Must Have Statement Purses

Must Have Statement Purses

As women, we are born stylish. Everything from our hair down to our toes has to make sense. Shouldn’t it be that way with our handbags also?

The answer is YES!

There are THREE types of bags that every woman should have in her closet. A crossbody, an oversize, and a clutch.

Let’s start with an everyday fave: THE OVERSIZE

An oversized bag is a great bag to use when you don’t want to say much with your outfit. It’s very casual and amazing for stuffing those items you may or may not need with you while handling your day to day chores. Whether its a tote or a hobo bag, it adds much comfort to can everyday look.

It’s a bag that fits any woman’s style. Definitely a daytime item to carry and not a date night type of bag. If simplicity is your thing, it’s best to go with a neutral color like black, nude or brown.

It can be fun to spice it up with some color as well.
